Between dream beaches and new jungle trails

Around Paradise Villas we explored the beaches and walked narrow paths into the wooded parts of the island. Sometimes a view opened up over the green canopy, sometimes a dirt track led to the sea or to a small bay with a few boats.

What struck us most was the comparison with our stay in 2011. Back then many of today’s paths did not exist. Since then more paths have been built and new areas opened up. That changes the island – but for us not automatically for the worse. It also creates new ways to discover other places.

It is exactly this mix of discovering and observing that makes the island exciting: untouched beaches on one side, developing infrastructure on the other.
