Sunsets, peace and a true castaway feeling
Sunset Beach feels like a small world of its own. A few small resorts with their own restaurants line the beach. A supermarket like you know from touristy places was not easy to reach for us, and the Wi-Fi was barely usable. In return there was peace, beautiful beaches and wonderfully clear water.
We lay on the beach, went swimming and explored the area on foot. The paths back over the wooded hill are also an appealing way to get to know the island with a light day pack. A small waterfall was another of our discoveries.
And then those sunsets: boats as dark silhouettes on golden water, the sun low over the sea. On evenings like these you understand why the beach has its name.
